Psychic Mom?

My mom called me up over the phone over something that had happened several hours ago, something that freaked her out.

It so happened she was at the grocery store standing in line, when she noticed the woman behind her. She said this woman looked familiar, like she had a sister that she knew. So she was moved to ask the woman if she had a sister named Patty. The woman said, "Yes, I do." My mom responds that she was sure that she went to school with a sister of hers because she looks familiar, but get this: The woman had just moved to our state (Delaware) and her sister (in Maryland) had visited a few times, but never lived here. Ever.

So, my mom was wrong about the sister going to school her...but right about a complete stranger who she'd never met having a sister named Patty.



My mom said she was so freaked out, she left the store in a hurry, with the entire grocery line and everyone in earshot gaping at her.

It was pretty amazing to hear about, though it's not the first time this sort of thing has happened. Just the first time it's happened with a total stranger.
